In honor of the world-famous Polynesian voyaging canoe Hōkūle’a, OluKai made a one-of-a-kind sandal using actual sailcloth used on one of Hōkūle’a’s voyages. With minimal quantities produced, our goal was to create a premium packaging for direct to consumer orders. Each pair of sandals was placed in a laser-cut wooden box with cloth shoe bag and letterpressed certificate of authenticity.
